Dutch Rivièra uses Quick Dry Foam as filling. This material dries quickly after contact with moisture and doesn’t retain water in its core. In a wellness or spa environment, that’s a significant advantage. A mattress that quickly returns to its normal state after use keeps its shape and comfort for much longer.
For the upholstery, we often choose solution-dyed fabrics from our range for wellness projects. The dye is woven into the fibre and doesn’t fade from moisture, heat or intensive use. Open-structure Dacron adds breathable comfort and retains its resilience even after long use. Together, these materials form a combination designed to keep performing.
Designing a wellness room as a whole
A lounge bed in a wellness room rarely stands alone. It’s part of a larger whole: a relaxation zone after the sauna, a rest corner next to an indoor pool, or a recovery area in a larger wellness complex. The position, height and size of the piece all contribute to how that space feels.

For a wellness room in a hotel, we recently advised on a series of lounge beds in a relaxation zone adjoining the sauna. The furniture was executed in a neutral colour scheme matching the existing interior. The mattresses were fitted with upholstery that’s easy to keep clean under daily use. The result was a relaxation zone that still looked as good as new after months of intensive use.
